Larry Layne, 70, of Dunlap, died Monday morning, April 14, 2008, in Memorial North Park Hospital, He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the St. Elmo Lodge #437 F&AM and Chattanooga Valley Scottish Rite.

His Wife, Josephine Holland Layne; son Mike Layne; grandson Robert Layne; parents, Gilbert and Mammie Layne; and three brothers preceded him in death.

He is survived by daughter Dianne (Tony) Atwood of Scottsville, Kentucky; son, Greg Layne of Pikeville; eight grandchildren, Jackly, Greg, and Tommy Layne, all of Dunlap, Amanda Hartman of Huntsville, Alabama, Terry Michael, Matthew, Nicholas and Ally Atwood of Scottsville; three great-grandchildren, four sisters, Judy Duffey and Iretta Grant, both of Sale Creek, Dorothy Holland of Dunlap and Nola Turner, Buddy G. Layne and Billy C. Layne, both of Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.
