VALPARAISO -- Betty M. Bartholomew, 56, of Valparaiso, died unexpectedly Wednesday.
She was born May 29, 1931 in Valparaiso, a daughter of Milton and and Vera (Henning) Aigner. Mrs. Bartholomew, a graduate of Indiana University, was a former Valparaiso Community Schools teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she served on the administrative board, and was a member of PEO Chapter J Delta Theta Tau.
Her husband, Harold J. "Buck" Bartholomew survives, along with a daughter, Carol Stoner, and a son, Jeff, both of Valparaiso; two grandchildren; and a brother, Robert of Michigan City.
Services 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church; the Rev. Ralph Steele officiating; burial in Graceland Cemetery; visitation 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bartholomew Funeral Home; memorials to the church or Chapter J PEO educational fund.
