Gerald Orval Clemans, 53, lifelong Guymon resident, died Saturday morning, October 19, 1996, at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County. The son of Orville and Irma (Ralstin) Clemans, he was born August 28, 1943 in Hooker, Oklahoma.

Gerald attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the class of 1961. He was a member of the Sunset Lane Baptist Church. His hobbies included fishing and woodworking.

He was employed with Swift for 14 years, a partner in J & G Portable Buildings for six years, and farmed with his brother, Alan, for five years. He retired in 1991 due to failing health.

He was first married to Linda N. Conley, mother of Starria Ann (Clemans) Fowler and Heath Landon Clemans. Gerald and Judy Walker were united in marriage on August 17, 1979 on the farm north of Guymon.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Ann Clemans and a brother, Eldon Reed Clemans.

Survivors include Gerald's wife, Judy, of the home; five children, Starria Ann (Clemans) and her husband, Jef Fowler of Houston, Texas, Heath Landon Clemans and his wife, Lisa of Guymon, Brandon Imboden and his wife, Tori of Stillwater, Okla., Ashley Dawn (Imboden) and her husband, Earl Brewer of Guymon, and Barton Joel Clemans of the home; his parents, Orville and Irma Clemans of Guymon; Four grandchildren, Dalton Imboden, Eryn Brewer, Haleigh Brewer and Caleb Fowler; and one brother, Alan Clemans of Guymon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22 at the Sunset Lane Baptist Church in Guymon with Rev. Lloyd Riddles officiating. Interment will be in the Bardon Cemetery under the direction of the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
