Marion C. Manwill 88, passed away on May 19, 2018, surrounded by his family. Marion was born April 28, 1930, in Central, Utah to Franklin Monroe Manwill and Mary Ann Sorenson. He grew up in Koosharem and Loa Utah, graduating from Wayne High School.

He served four years in the Navy as an aircraft mechanic. On April 2, 1953, he married Connie Joyce Theobald, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, and became the parents to five children.

Marion worked as a journeyman plumber for his brother Wally, and a heavy equipment operator for his brother-in-law while going to Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. He attended Utah State University, receiving a teaching certificate. He taught Vocational-Ag at Payson High School for 22 years, impacting many students. His FFA class won State Honors and traveled to Washington DC.

Marion was a calf roper, team roper, bullfighter, rodeo clown, rodeo coach, cowboy poet, and a cowboy all his life; even teaching horseshoeing at UVU for 25 years.

His wife Joyce died in 2000. He married Violet Wharton in 2001, in Cove Fort Utah while on a wagon train from Spanish Fork to San Bernardino California. They were sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Temple and served a faithful mission in Nauvoo, Illinois. Together they have 44 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.

His is survived by his wife Violet, his children Mary (Bob) Conder, Lane (Lori) Manwill, Linda (Thane) Twiggs, Becky Rutch, and his stepchildren LeAnn Hill, Kathy Adams, Bob Brunyer, Steven Brunyer, and Christi Dobbins.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, his sibling; Willis, Libbie, Cyrus, Wallace, Leda, Frank Jr., Don, and his wife Joyce, his son Steven, and his step-son David Brunyer.

A viewing will be held May 24th at Walker Mortuary 587 South 100 West Payson, UT from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral will be held May 25th at the Elk Ridge Stake Building 185 East Ridgeview Dr. Elk Ridge, UT 84651 at 11:00 am. A viewing prior to the service will be from 9:45-10:45 am. Interment will be in the Payson Cemetery.
