A nurse was suppose to be taking care of the baby but sometime during the night the nurse had fallen asleep letting the fire go out in the room where the infant was sleeping. The family believe since the baby was a little premature that it got to cold and she passed away.
My grandmother Marjorie K. Day said that the baby girl was buried beside her sisters Cleo Gertrude and Mary Alice Kittrell Jenkins in an old cemetery called Pilgrims Rest in Ormond Beach Florida.
There is a small medal marker marking where the infant was layed to rest.This marker is between Mary Alice and Cleo Gertrude.
