He was employed until his retirement at the W.D. Byron Tannery in Williamsport. He was a member of the Calvary Temple in Williamsport.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Maggie Walker Deavers; brother, Harm Deavers, NJ; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.
