Coelene Stover, 60, of White Deer, passed away May 16, 2018 in Amarillo.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2018, at First Baptist Church in White Deer, with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in White Deer Cemetery, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Mrs. Stover was born April 2, 1958 in Pampa to Eulin and Beatrice Andrews. She was raised in Pampa where she attended schools. After high school, she met Jack Stover and they later eloped. Coelene worked at Alco, Gibsons and Wayne’s Western Wear in Pampa. In the early 1980’s, she and Jack moved to White Deer. Jack later preceded her in death in 2005. After Jack’s passing, she went to work for White Deer ISD where she enjoyed her work and loved all the kids she came in contact with. When she wasn’t at work, you could find Coelene working in her garden that she took great pride in.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include a grandson, Drayton Stover of the home; a son, Dale Stover of Pampa; two daughters, Missy Sandefur and husband John of Stover, Missouri, and Sandy Galaviz and husband Lupe of Pampa; two sisters, Bea Leftwich of White Deer, and Betty Parsley of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Jo Ann McClellan in Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Coelene was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Tommy Lee Woodward; three sisters, Darlene Leftwich, Opal Ray, and Fay Stowe.
