Ailene Glatter, 82, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be at 10:00am Friday, May 20, at her home. Burial to follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30pm Thursday, May 19, also at her home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to M’Shoogy’s Emergency Animal Rescue, 11519 State Route C, Savannah, MO 64485-9108 (www.mshoogys.org). Ailene was born September 4, 1928 in Chicago and lived there until relocating to Kansas city in 1991. A graduate of Loop College and Northeastern Illinois University, she married George Glatter in 1955. Ailene was passionate about animal rights, her native garden, reading, piano playing, ceramics and coffee with her “mates”. She also had a strong interest in politics and was very outspoken about local and world events. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Glatter-Judy, son-in-law, Larry, and their children, Nathan and Mikaela, of Kansas City, MO, her son, Bradley Glatter, daughter-in-law,
Lyudmila, and their children, Brian and Nicole, of Chicago, IL, and a wonderful circle of friends and caregivers.
