Sally had a younger and older sister growing up on the family farm.
Sally married Michael Emmert in Hagerstown, Maryland, in 1797. She was evidently just 14 years old. The groom was 12 years her senior.
Sally and Michael took up residence on the Emmert plantation called Delemere. There Sally bore at least five children: Isaac in 1798; Lydia in 1806; Maria in 1807; Sarah in 1809; and Michael in 1814.
Sally died in 1818 at Delemere when she was 35 years old. Her mortal remains were committed to the earth from whence they came in the Emmert Graveyard on Oak Ridge that was then the site of the log church that served the Brethren congregation in that neighborhood.
