BATH - Robert C. Doughty Sr., 81, passed on February 26, 2018.
Robert was born on March 4, 1936, son of Herbert and Charlotte Doughty. He was raised on Chebeague Island in Casco Bay.
On July 14, 1955, he married Shirley I. Horr. The couple raised five children, Robert Doughty Jr., Sharron Brown, Bruce Doughty, Brian Doughty, and Mark Doughty, whom was lost at sea in 2001.
Robert joined the U.S. Navy in 1955. After proudly serving his country, he returned home and pursued his love of the ocean and became a commercial fisherman.
