He was a member of St. Patrick's Men's Club and St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Chrystal; two sons, Rex, Sylacauga, Ala., and Terry, Wesley Chapel; two daughters, Mary Lou Byerley, Shalimar, and Carol Sue Popovich, Palm Bay; abrother, John Jr., Fredonia; two sisters, Willa Cannon, Kansas City, Kan., and Marjorie Catlett, Huntsville, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
