Norma A. Minnis Eldridge, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2018.

Mrs. Eldridge was one of the first Hamilton County Department of Education’s school nurses, serving Sale Creek School. She also worked for the Hamilton County Health Department and Extension Service. She had a deep faith in God, love for family, and enjoyed traveling and making jewelry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Eldridge, Sr., her parents John and Crystal Minnis; her brothers, Earl and John Minnis, Jr.

Surviving relatives are her sons, Roy E. Eldridge, Jr. (Jane), John D. Eldridge (Amy), Philip D. Eldridge (Dianeice); daughter, Anna E. Stallings (Jerry); her grandchildren, Matthew Eldridge, Lori Brennan, Kristiana Lea (Wade), Amy Eldridge (Aaron Brothers) and Jordan Denny (Heath); great grandchildren, Brianna Smith, Gabriella, Makayla, Elisha Eldridge, Jackson Heinley, Jackson and Parker Brennan; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family wishes to thank care giver, Gail Wallace, and the compassionate staff of Hospice of Chattanooga and the medical personnel who cared for her the last years of her life. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of a donation to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
