Larry was a baptized and confirmed member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where he served many years on the church council. He enjoyed being a life-long farmer in rural Benson. He put his carpentry skills to use by building his own home and helping friends and family with countless projects. Larry was a fine athlete in his youth. In later years he was active in slow pitch softball and league bowling. Larry enjoyed watching his own children and grandchildren's sporting events and activities. He was a life-long Cubs fan, and his patience was finally rewarded by seeing the Cubs win a World Series. But most of all, Larry loved spending time with his family and friends.
