Franklin, Tex. , Nov 25 - Mrs. Mary C. Crawford, one of the old landmarks of Texas , died at the residence of her son, Judge John E. Crawford, last night and was interred in the Franklin cemetery this evening. She was born in New York State , April 7, 1826, and would have been 76 years of age next April. She moved to Texas with her parents, named Gray, in 1839, and was married to Rev. Robert Crawford, a San Jacinto veteran, Oct 27, 1846. She lived at Cedar Hill, in Dallas County , Texas , when that little town was blown away by a tornado about 1856. She also passed unharmed through the Galveston storm of Sept 8, 1900.
