Barbara Ann Roper Arvey, age 67, of Franklin, NC, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Howard Judson Roper and Addie Lois Bryant Roper. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband, Billy C. Arvey of Franklin, NC; daughter, Lynn Arvey of Franklin, NC; sons, D. J. Arvey (Elizabeth), Tony Arvey and Terry Arvey all of Franklin, NC; grandchildren, Jonathan Collier, Noah Lionheart and Alisha Fuentes (Tyler Green) all of Franklin, NC; brother, Howard Boyd Roper (Mary) of Cullowhee, NC.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Sinai Assembly of God Church with Rev. Johnny Raby and Rev. Barry Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Tippett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Shepherd, Ardell Collier, Kevin Swafford, Terry Dyr, Eddie Swafford, Sandy Swafford and Ricky Swafford; honorary pallbearer, Lewis Swafford. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 till 3:00 pm, prior to the service at the church.
