Mr. Erwin retired in 2017 after 20 years as a school bus driver with Southwestern Shelby County. He had previously volunteered with the Flat Rock Volunteer Fire Department; was a member of the Indiana School Board Association and the Indiana Tractor Pull Association. He enjoyed mowing grass and watching western cowboy movies.
He was born June 24, 1952 in Columbus, the son of Billy J. and Mattie E. Bushong Erwin. On June 30, 1973 he married Sharon Tennell. Survivors include his wife of 44 years in Flat Rock; two sons, Shawn Erwin of Arizona and Jeremy Erwin of Flat Rock; brother, Greg (Sherri) Erwin of Columbus; sisters: Faye Howard, Wanda (Ed) Bates, Debbie Scott, and Brenda Erwin all of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial at Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock.
