MRS. OSBORNE SPROUSE
CRAIGSVILLE, Aug. 31 -- Mrs. Ruth Virginia Sprouse, 28, died at her home in Millboro Springs yesterday.
She was born March 25 1921 in Rockbridge Bath. Mrs. Sprouse is survived by her husband Osborne Sprouse; a son, Osborne Jr., two daughters, Mary Frances Sprouse and Ruth Jane Sprouse, all of Millboro Springs.
She also is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Balser of Goshen; three brothers, Finlay and Cecil of Goshen, and Carl of Millboro; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Crawford and Mrs. Ethel Croupa of Baltimore; Mrs. Viola Hostetter of Goshen, and Miss Frances Balser of Staunton.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at three o'clock from the Rockbridge Bath Methodist Church. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
The body rests at the Zimmerman Funeral Home here.

GOSHEN, Sept. 8 -- Mrs. Ruth Virginia Sprouse, 28, died at her home in Millboro Springs Aug. 30.
She was born on March 15, 1921 at Rockbridge Baths. Mrs. Sprouse is survived by her husband, Osborne Sprouse; son, Osborne Jr.; two daughters, Mary Frances and Ruth Jane Sprouse, all of Millboro Springs. She also is survived by her parents, Howard Balser of Millboro Springs and Mrs. M. K. Balser of Goshen; four sisters, Mrs. Viola Hostetter of Goshen, Mrs. Ethel Kroupa and Mrs. Margaret Crawford of Baltimore, and Miss Frances Balser of Staunton; three brothers, Finley and Cecil of Goshen, Carl of Millboro Springs.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 2, at three p.m. at Rockbridge Baths with the Rev. Mr. Boyle officating, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Banks. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hobson Carter, Thurman Paxton, T. Kerns, Walter Kerns, Robert Forbes, Leonard Gentry. Flower girls were Mary Balser, Charlene Rhea, Mae Newcomb, Janie Horn, Joyce Writht and Brenda DeGrassie.

She married Osborne Zigler Sprouse on 09 Dec 1939 in Rockbridge Baths, Rockbridge County, Virginia. According to her Certificate of Death she was buried here on 02 Sep 1949. Cause of death was a heart attack following a Fallopian tube pregnancy, postpartum birth.∼Survived by husband Osborne Z. Sprouse and 2 daughters Mary Frances and Ruth Jane Sprouse and a son Osborne Junior Sprouse
