January 23, 1940 - May 5, 2018 Mr. Earl Cameron, 78 of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital. He was born in Orlando, KY on January 23, 1940 the son of Joe and Pearl Moore Cameron. He had been a brick mason for 54 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He loved to hunt and fish with his sons and was a devoted husband and father who was adored by his grandchildren.
He is survived by four sons, Melvin and Kimberly Cameron of West Chester, OH, Mike and Debbie Cameron of Brodhead, Rodney and Helen Cameron of Mt. Vernon, and Steven Earl and Paula Cameron, also of Mt. Vernon; and three daughters, Deanna and Gary Mays of Paint Lick, Lisa and Gary Mullins of Richmond, and Trish and John Hunt of Preachersville. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and a special friend, Dell Cotton.
In addition to his parents, Joe and Pearl Cameron, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Cameron; six brothers, Walter, Hugh, Bill Joe, and three younger brothers; two sisters, Vistil and Juanita; and two grandchildren.
