The remains of the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Ritter of Indianapolis, were brought here for burial last Friday.

Indiana State Board of Health Certificate of Death No. 2800 page 253 for Indianapolis Marion County records that Infant Ritter, white male, age 6 hours, died about 5 am on December 10, 1903 at 1140 Villa Avenue in Indianapolis. The cause of death was "Embolism." He was the son of L. R. Ritter and Nellie Branigan, birthplaces unknown. The informant was the father, Lee R. Ritter, and he was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin Johnson County.
From the book, Greenlawn Before 1927 by Alan Jones: Infant Ritter, born in Indianapolis, late residence Indianapolis, died on or around December 10, 1903, buried on or around December 11, 1903 in Section A Lot 9. (Copied from Book 2 page 4. The name "John Branigan" is inserted after the word "Infant" in the original entry.
Note: Emery and Nina Branigan are buried in Section A Lot 9.
Burial Record: (Same Decedent?) Infant Ritter, removed from Section A Lot 9 to Section G Lot 27 on or around June 8, 1925. (Copied from Book 2 page 95.)
