A native of Washington County, she was born on February 26, 1938 to the late Ellis Lee and Gladys Thompson Sims.
She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for forty years. She was a graduate of Willisburg High School. Anna Lee and her husband owned and operated Downtown Supermarket in Springfield. After selling their store they worked until retirement for Parkview IGA.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Johnnie R. Hardin on June 15, 2017; a brother, Harvey Randall Sims on August 19, 1980, and a sister, Blonetta Russell on February 4, 2000.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Hardin (Karen) of Lexington and Steve Hardin (Lisa) of Greenwood, IN; five grandchildren, Joshua Glenn Hardin, John Matthew Hardin, Victoria Elizabeth Hardin, Jacqueline Danielle Hardin and Nathaniel Steven Hardin; a sister, Beaulah Faye Chesser of Willisburg and a brother, Eddie Sims (Wilma) of Willisburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 9th at the Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. J.W. Hatfield, pastor of the Willisburg Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Glenn Hardin, John Matthew Hardin, Nathaniel Steven Hardin, Troy Chesser, Timmy McIlvoy and Charlie McIlvoy.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Tuesday at the Springfield Baptist Church.
