DARLINGTON -Charles L. Gaskins, Jr., 63, of Darlington died on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1 PM in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Kistler Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington. The family will receive friends following the service.
Charles was born in Little Washington, North Carolina. He was the son of Shirley Knox and the late Charles L. Gaskins, Sr.
Charles spent most of his career in the construction industry and eventually formed Contech Technical Services with his brother Paul. They traveled extensively across North America, flushing large industrial lubrication systems.
Surviving are his mother, Shirley Knox of Holly Ridge, NC; his son, Rick Young and wife, Stevette of Darlington; his daughter, Jessica and husband, Richard Foy of Wilmington, NC; his brother, Paul Gaskins and wife, Anna of Holly Ridge, NC; his sisters, Kathy Smith of Hampstead, NC and Brenda (George) Vorhaurer of Athena, Oregon; and his grandchildren, Bo Young, Gavin Young, Roddy Young, and Bryan Andrews; and special friends, Terri Brown and Denny Rose.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Nina and his brother, Robert Gaskins.
