Georgia Mae (Wall) Walker Burton Stamm was born to Carl and Catherine Wall on August 1, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Georgia passed away May 3, 2018.

Georgia met Charles “Buck” Walker, Jr. and they married in 1945. They were married for 2 years, and had two children, Janet G Walker and Charles “Chuck” E Walker, III. Georgia then went to work for Woolworth’s and eventually met and married James “Jim” S Burton in 1952. Soon after, Randall “Randy” J Burton was born, followed a few years later by Jennifer “Jenny”. Several years after they had been married, they decided to move out of the big city of Indianapolis and moved to rural Putnam country for 20 years. After the passing of Jim, in 1986, Georgia moved back to Indianapolis to be closer to her growing family.

She met and was married to Meredith Stamm in 1987 until his death in 1992.

Georgia is preceded in death by her mother, father, brothers, sister, and her husbands. Georgia is survived by 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was the matriarch of a very loving, caring family and will be dearly missed.

She will be laid to rest in the Clinton Falls Cemetery in Putnam, County, next to her loving husband of 34 years, Jim Burton.
