Jewell Elizabeth LaRue, 89, formerly of the Mimosa Mobile Home Park, Princeton and the Mercer County Nursing Facility in Bluefield died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson.

Born January 29, 1918, at Princeton, she was the daughter of the late John Edward Shaffer and Mary Hazel Straley Shaffer. Mrs. LaRue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clayton LaRue, a son Ronald "Ronnie" LaRue and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors Her son, Phillip Duane LaRue & wife Betty of Varney Several Grandchildren Anna Collins & husband James of Taylorville Lori LaRue Phillips & husband Randy of Ransom KY Tina Mounts & husband Billy of Delbarton James Pennington & wife Lisa Ronald Craig Pennington all of North Carolina Great Grandchildren Jeffrey Francis, Leanna Bias, Jarrod Lee Bias II, Samantha Owens, Gregory Pennington & Kaitlin Pennington.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 28, 2007 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Saturday, from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
