Born January 29, 1918, at Princeton, she was the daughter of the late John Edward Shaffer and Mary Hazel Straley Shaffer. Mrs. LaRue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clayton LaRue, a son Ronald "Ronnie" LaRue and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 28, 2007 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Saturday, from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
