Lucille grew up in Erie and graduated Erie High School in 1941. She and Donald were married on August 20, 1941, in Kimball, NE. They met at a Jitney dance in Longmont and were still dancing in their 80’s at the Elks Club in Brighton. They began married life in Fort Lupton, where they built a home and raised two daughters. They were married for 69 years until his death in 2010. Lucille had worked summers at the Fort Lupton Canning Company in Quality Control for nearly 50 years. She loved to sew and made clothes for her daughters. She played bridge and was active in American Legion Auxiliary. She was an excellent fly fisherwoman and loved to fish Quartz Creek in the Pitkin Valley. Survivors included: daughters Diane Asbury (Ken) and Cirri Sirko; grandchildren Jon Asbury (Katie), Jarrett Sirko (Jayme), Clint Sirko (Nikki), and Kelly Sirko; and great grandchildren Anne, Addie, Alivia, Amelia, Porter, Weston, Takota, and Chayton.
