Jimmy David Apodaca, 61, of Clovis, NM died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at University Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Muffley Funeral Home, 1430 Thornton. Rosary will be held at 10:00 am Monday, May 7, 2018, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 am with Father Angelo Marquez officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Donnie Romero, Gabriel Chavez, Ricky Chavez, David Sena, Mikey Urioste, Benji Selgado, Luis Griego, and D.J. Lopez Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Cisco Lopez, Joseph Garcia, and David Lopez III will be as honorary pallbearers.
Jimmy was born July 5, 1956, in Encino, NM to Santiago "Happy" Apodaca and Hilaria Mares Apodaca. e married Lisa Sisneros May 26, 1979, in Clovis, NM. Jimmy was the forklift operator for Excel Meat Packing Plant. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Jimmy enjoyed working on cars as a mechanic, spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, camping, and going to the lake.
Survivors include: his wife; Lisa Apodaca of the home, mother, Hilaria Apodaca of Clovis, NM, two daughters; Stacy (Luis) Griego of Lubbock, TX and Janice (DJ) Lopez of Clovis, NM, son; Jimmy Apodaca Jr. of Clovis, NM, four sisters; Ruby (Paul) Sena of Clovis, NM, Erma (Jack) Amorella of Borger, TX, Gloria (Marc) Martinez of Arizona, and Katrina (Cruz) Lopez of San Antonio, TX, a sister-in-law; Bertha Apodaca of Albuquerque, NM, eight grandchildren; Savanna Garcia, Joseph Garcia, Samantha Garcia, David Lopez III, Jasmine Lopez, Cisco Lopez, Janessa Lopez, and Sincerlee Apodaca, one great-grandson; Izayah Jimenez, two god-children; Geraldine Lucero and Eli Villa. He was preceded in death by his father; Santiago "Happy" Apodaca, and brother; Raymundo Apodaca.
