Mr. Harry Boyd Lichliter, 67, of Berryville, VA. died Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Lichliter, born in Berryville, VA; was the son of the late Lafayette O. Lichliter, Sr. and Catherine Virginia White Lichliter. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Jane Woodford and a brother, Lafayette O. Lichliter, Jr.

He worked for Valley Drilling Corporation in Upperville, VA. for over 30 years, drilling water wells as well as shallow oil and gas wells in Pennsylvania. He also worked for Fisher Auto Parts in Berryville, VA until his recent retirement in April.

Being a 2nd generation will driller h enjoyed passing his knowledge down through the years to his two sons as 3rd generation well drillers. He and his wife were life long residents of Clarke County. He enjoyed his garden, his family and the companionship of their dog, Chloe.

He married Mary Katherine Emerson Lichliter on May 28, 1969 in Hagerstown, MD.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine Emerson Lichliter; his sons, Wesley B. Lichliter (Joanne) of Berryville; and Robert L. Lichliter (Nicole) of Winchester; sisters, June Stickle (Earl) of Bunker Hill,WV; and Alice Payne of Berryville; three grandchildren, Dakota B. Lichliter, Tyler Lichliter and Cameron Lichliter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
