Allisons Will Observe Anniversary Tuesday

Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. Allison of 625 Sanford Ave. will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Tuesday while on vacation at Lakeside, Ohio. They were Married Aug. 26, 1925, in the United Presbyterian Church at Lisbon by the Rev. John M. Cameron. Mrs. Allison is the former Helen Anderson. Mr. Allison is manager of the Crook Furniture Co. He and his wife are members of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church. The Allisons have a son, H. James Allison, and two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Forsyth and Mrs. Jane Steele, all of East Liverpool. There are eight grandchildren and four great - grandchildren. The couple was honored with a family dinner party given by the children at the Holiday Inn Austintown.

Mrs. Helen A. Allison, 79, of 169 Sanford Ave. died Friday at 7:40 p.m. in City Hospital following a two - week illness. A lifelong resident, Mrs. Allison was born here Sept. 29, 1898, a daughter of Thomas Anderson and Lula Green Anderson. She was retired in 1945 from the former Frank C. Crook Co. Mrs. Allison was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church and the Anna Kell Class. In addition to her husband, Harold J. Allison, whom she married Aug. 25, 1925, in Lisbon, survivors include a son H. James Allison Jr. of East Liverpool; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Forsythe of East Liverpool and Jane Steel at home; five grandsons, three granddaughters, four great - grandsons and a great - granddaughter. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. H. Gene Toot. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and night.
