Obituary for Peggy Lou Wooddell
Peggy Lou Ballow Wooddell was born on April 9, 1942 and went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Methodist Hospital with family by her side.

Peggy was a dedicated career worker. She retired from Southwestern Bell after 33 years of faithful service, to start a new adventure with Ryerson Steel Credit Union. Only a few years in, Peggy chose to resign to become the sole caregiver for her husband. After his passing she accepted a part-time position at Catherine's in Cedar Hill eventually becoming the store manager until she decided to resign to spend more time with her family and friends. Not only was Peggy known for her dedication to her career, but she was known for her devotion to God that was demonstrated in her faithfulness to her church. Peggy Wooddell spent many years as a member of Fairmeadows Assemby of God in Duncanville, TX. She was a dedicated volunteer in preschool class, youth nights, prayer ministry and women's ministry of all ages. It would be no surprise to find Peggy dancing along with the kids for VBS, cleaning the church for missions fundraiser for the youth group or opening her home for college students on the weekends and holidays. The past five years Peggy continued to devote her ministry at Life Church in Midlothian, TX until she became ill. She was on a rotation as a door greeter welcoming everyone in the house of the Lord. Peggy Wooddell was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, wonderful friend and "Mimi" to us all.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Alton Don Wooddell and parents, Leo and Wynell Ballow.

eggy is survived by her son, Gary Wooddell and wife, Kandy and her daughter, Kelly Nichols and husband, Chris, grandchildren, Christina Morris and husband, Curtiss, Christopher Nichols and wife, Sarah, Brittany Friel and husband, Henry, Noah and Nathan Wooddell, great-grandchildren, Trey and Mark Nichols and Harper Morris, her 100 year old mother-in-law, Pauline Wooddell, sister, Sue Greenville and husband, Bruce, brother, Leo "Blue" Ballow and many other family members and friends.
