Physician; born in Rehrersburg, Pa., May 12, 1835; second son of Dr. Jacob Tryon and grandson of Dr. Michael Tryon, one of the pioneer physicians of Berks County; educated in the common schools and at Pennsylvania College, Gettysburg; studied medicine with his father, and was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in the class of 1857. He commenced the practice of medicine in his native town, where he still resides and is in active practice. Like his father and grandfather, Dr. Tryon has excelled in surgery and has a number of students.
