Florence Hill Barnes was born in Athens, Georgia and had an identical twin sister name Francis. Her parents were Luther Jean "Luke" Hill and Ruby Salenzy Woods. They moved to Detroit Michigan in 1950 and raised their boys because Johnie had a job at Chrysler's. Florence was diagnosed with breast cancer in the late 1980's which ended up metastasized to her brain and bones which took her life on August 15, 1988. She died in her home with her husband, Children and Grandchildren with her. She was a sweet woman that enjoyed southern cooking and family time. She was survived by her husband, three living son's and 7 grandchildren.
