Martin Lewis Griffith, 65 of Brazoria, passed away from this life on Monday, April 23, 2018. He was born on November 26, 1952 in Bay City, Texas to Martin Dies and Peggy Lee (Dubose) Griffith. Martin enjoyed cooking, playing his guitar, and most of all he was proud to be a West Columbia Roughneck.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Jamie Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm also at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Milton “Snoopy” Long, Richard Martinez, Christopher John Martinez, Kevin Stinson, Charles Nichols IV, and Cerrington Massey. Honorary pallbearers will be Shaun Massey, Christopher D. Martinez, and Carmine Griffith.

Martin is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Griffith; daughter, Casey Long and husband, Milton “Snoopy”; grandchildren, Carmine Griffith and Carissa Long; sisters, Linda Muriel Stinson and husband, John, Martha Lee Hughling and husband, Jack, and Peggie Joyce Laser; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
