David Pillsbury was the son of Moses Pillsbury of Merrimack, NH and Lucy MacKintire of Salem, MA.
He married Clara Grush, then lived in Minnesota, New Jersey and settled in Reading where his sister Sarah Pillsbury also lived. He was in poor health for many years and eventually died from Tuberculosis at the age of 46. He had three children: Alice (1874-1891) who also died from Tuberculosis, age 17, Albert (1876-1899) also died from Tuberculosis, age 22, and Arthur (1879-1953), who was a successful Photographer. They are all in the same lot: 905_0632 at Laurel Hill Cemetery that was purchased by David's mother, Lucy.
