Delbert "Dave" Davis, a long-time resident of West Sacramento, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2005. He was born in East Palestine, Ohio on August 25, 1912.

Dave and his wife of 55 years, Betty, settled in West Sacramento in September, 1957. He had accepted a job with James Marshall High School as the Metal Shop Teacher. He remained at James Marshall until 1978 and then transferred to Golden State Jr. High where he remained until June 1984 when he retired.

During World War II, he was a proud member of the United States Army Air Corps.

He leaves behind his wife, Betty, children Cyndi and Ron Girardi and Sandy and Mark Patterson, and grandchildren Nathaniel and Kyle Patterson, and Gina and Gabriel Girardi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday, April 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1500 Park Blvd, West Sacramento. Reception following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, American Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
