BUCHANAN, MADGE A., 77, beloved mother, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 18, 2003. Mrs. Buchanan was born on February 12, 1926 in the District of Berwick in the Parish of St. Catherine, Jamaica, W.I., she was the daughter of Samuel and Retinella Grant. She was the wife of Leslie Norman Buchanan, who preceded her in death, May 4, 1957. Mrs. Buchanan is survived by four children, Yvonne Buchanan- Mollena of Longwood, FL, Carl Buchanan of Toronto, Canada, Jennifer Buchanan-Lewin of Brooklyn, NY, Joan Buchanan- Mondesir of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Daniel Grant of Jamaica; five sisters, Eunice Christmas, Gwendolyn Michel, Veronica Grant, Eulalee Scott, and Beryl Blake; five grandchildren, Natasha and Caliphe Buchanan, Kino, Jasmine, and Amara Mondesir; two great- grandchildren, Reshawn and Nikolas; one brother-in-law, Astor Buchanan, Sr.; one sister-in-law, Rachel Grant; three, sons-in-law, Tyrone Mondesir, Winston Mollena and Isaac Lewin; two daughters-in-law, Aileen and Gail; 20 nieces, 15 nephews, many relatives and friends. She also leaves behind two children of her heart, Everton Burt and Sheryl Carter; two grandchildren of the heart, Zaria and Maleek Carter. Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Apopka, Florida.
