Woody was retired as a self employed painter. He was a 1947 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, McSherrystown, a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, McSherrystown, and a life member of the McSherrystown Knights of Columbus, McSherrystown Home Association, and SAVES. Woody was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Dodie, are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three siblings; James C. Clingan, Marian Hawbaker, and Christine Mecke.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held with Rev. Charles L. Persing officiating. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown, with military honors provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
