Helen Elane Kuntz, 83, of Pekin, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born March 20, 1935 in Cropsey to Ray V. and Dorothy L. (Watkins) Abbey, she married Dale Kuntz on August 12, 1957 in Cropsey. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Steve Kuntz of Morton, Eric Kuntz of Peoria, AZ and Warren Kuntz of Galesburg and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Perry and Larry and one sister, Ardith.
A homemaker, Helen also taught piano in Morton for many years.
Helen enjoyed sewing, baking and working crossword puzzles. She also found great joy in spending time with her family.
She attended Advent Lutheran Church in Morton, where she served on the board for many years.
Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Roberts Cemetery in Morton. Pastor John Vaughn will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday evening at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s choice.
