Aunt Grace always referred to her husband, as Leslie. Uncle Leslie worked on the railroad. They eloped much to the dismay of her parents, Seth and Emily Westfall Richmond. Aunt Grace said, "it was not that they were adverse to the match, it was that Aunt Grace was too young.

Great Grandma Emily was also a young bride. She married Great Grandpa Seth several years after the Civil war. She was a teenager and he a seasoned war veteran. They loved each other very much but found that they would have preferred starting their life together if Emily would have been older.

Aunt Grace also shared with me that they did not have children because she did not want any.
