Obit from The Creighton Banner:
"Mrs. ETTA PARKER HATTON
Marietta Parker, youngest daughter of Mary Adams and Samuel K. Parker, was born November 4, 1872, near Warrensburg.

When one year of age her parents moved to Henry county, Mo., and with the exception of a few months residence in Kansas, she spent the remainder of her life in this community.

When a young girl she united with the Presbyterian church at the Bee Branch school house, later moving her membership to the Creighton Presbyterian church.

She was united in marriage to Harvey G. Hatton on January 29, 1907. Mr. Hatton preceded her in death on November 6, 1924.

Her parents, three sisters and two brothers have preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her passing one brother, G.B. Parker of Kansas City, Mo.; one niece, Mrs. Ernest (Myra) Swonger of Bloom, Kansas; and one nephew, Ervin R. Parker of Wichita, Kansas.

Her health failed several years ago and she gradually gave up active life. The past few months she became weaker and passed away at the Memorial hospital in Harrisonville, September 30, 1958.

The funeral service was conducted at the Creighton Presbyterian church, Thursday afternoon, October 2, by the Rev. J. P. Wilbanks, local Methodist pastor. "Sweet Peace the Gift of God's Love" and "God Will Take Care of You" were rendered by Mrs. L. N. McKean, Mrs. John G. Robinson, W. E. Blayney and Vincent Blayney, with Mrs. Elmer Patrick as pianist.

Casketbearers were: C.W. Cox, Garnett Salmon, Charles Meyer, Paul Jones, James Wilson and J. F. Meyer.

Burial was in the Grant cemetery, north of Creighton, with Brown and Graham of Urich in charge."
