"Mrs Louise Popeney, aged 72, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Clinton Ames, at Hamilton Corners at 3:20 pm yesterday. She was born at Frenchtown, November 23, 1870, a daughter of Joseph and Ancitate Duschanois Chalot, natives of France. She was married to Virgil Popeney, April 19, 1898. Besides the daughter she leaves the following step-children: Mrs Anna Deitch of Alliance, O; Charles Popeney of Detroit; Harry Popeney of Los Angeles, and Adolphus Popeney of Titusville. There are two sisters, Mrs Alice Zimmerman and Mrs Julia Naegotte (sic) [Nageotte] of Meadville. The body is at the C H McKinley home at Chapmanville, where friends may call. Services will be conducted from St Hippolyte's church at Frenchtown Saturday morning, with interment in the church cemetery."
