Myrtle Lee Leftwich Hoback, 82, of Bedford passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at her home. She was born on July 31, 1935 in Bedford County. She was the daughter of the late William Thomas Leftwich and Mary Zimmerman Leftwich. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Giles Cecil Hoback, Sr.; two sisters, Virginia Leftwich Overstreet and Ruby Leftwich Overstreet.

Myrtle was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. She loved her home and her family and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Myrtle is survived by her three children, Teressa K. Hoback, Giles Cecil Hoback, Jr. and his wife, Debbie and Mark Thomas Hoback; seven grandchildren, Jackson Lee Parker, Angie Penn, Giles Hoback III, Mandy Baber and husband Brandon, Corby Hoback and wife, Melissa and Casey Hoback and wife, Julie; 16 great-grandchildren. Also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A funeral service and celebration of Myrtle’s life will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Pastor Phil Kelley and Pastor Earl Ragland officiating. The burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
