He was born March 11, 1906, at Stafford, the son of William T. and Jane McMillan Buckle. A lifetime Stafford resident, he was a farmer.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Farmers Union and the Stafford Co-op, all at Stafford.
On July 26, 1932, he married Naomi Shinkle at St. John. She survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Barbara and her husband, Clayton Grimmett, Wichita; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at Peacock-Milton Funeral Chapel, Stafford, with Rev. Cheryl Peters officiating. Burial was in the Stafford Cemetery.
