Gale Bernetta Walker was born September 17, 1970, to Gus L. Walker and the late Rossetta Davis Walker. She accepted Christ at an early age, uniting with Rising Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C.C. Sims, later moving her membership to New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, before reuniting with Rising Star Baptist Church, under Pastor Lawrence Brown. Gale was educated in the Grapeland School District, Class of 1989.

Gale was a wonderful person who loved and cherished her family, church and church members dearly. She loved cooking for the church and doing whatever she could to offer her assistance. Her passion was cooking homemade pies, cakes, mac and cheese, and chicken spaghetti. She enjoyed babysitting and being with the joy of her life, her grandson, Amarion. Gale was one special person! Her smile, laugh and gentle spirit will be truly missed.

Gale was employed as a dietary cook in several nursing homes until her health began to fail. Gale transitioned on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

Interment Golden Gate Cemetery, Grapeland.
