After graduating from high school in Corder, Betty attended Business College in Chillicothe, Missouri. Betty used the knowledge she obtained in school in her chosen profession. She was an Administrative secretary and stenographer for Bartell Grain, while in the Kansas City area, and later Lowe Boats in Lebanon. Those who worked with her appreciated her professionalism and friendship.
On December 17, 1955, she was united in marriage with Emmitt Lenn Moore. To this union was born two sons, Randal and Keith, both surviving. Prior to Betty's passing, she and Emmitt had shared sixty-two years of love and wonderful memories.
When Betty wasn't working or tending to the needs of her family, she enjoyed gardening and canning for family and friends. Time spent and laughter shared with her loved ones is what she most treasured.
She leaves to celebrate her memory, her husband Emmitt; two sons, Randal Lindsey Moore and his wife Carrie of Odessa, MO, and Keith Warren Moore and his wife Glennice of Grovespring, MO; three brothers, Donnie Wiley and his wife Betty Ann of Knob Noster, MO, Alvin Wiley and his wife Linda Lou of Amerot, MO, and Paul Wiley and his wife Linda Fay of Higginsville, MO; two sisters, Doris Horstman and her husband Bertie of Texas, and Joyce Parker and her husband Doug of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren, Lindsey Moore, Sarah Leal and her husband Ricardo, Seth Moore, Anna Moore and Tracy Wiley and her husband Eric; six great-grandchildren, Chandler, Cooper, Evan, Lane, Hudson, and Savannah; other relatives and many friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Vineta Jean Lisby.
Betty was a loving wife, doting mother, fun-loving grandmother, cherished sister, and loyal friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
