She came to the USA from Germany with her parents and Buchman grandparents when she was two years old.
It was passed down through the family that they lived around Hamburg but found on the arrival records when they came to America that the family lived in Austria and most of them were born in Bohemia. They arrived on the ship Ohio the 30th of May , 1873.

Mrs. Mary Agnes Kelly was born in German on Feb. 1 1871 and came with her parents to America when she was 2 years old. Her parents Mr. & Mrs. August ( Gus) Hermstein settled near Council Grove , Kansas where she grew to womanhood and was married to Frank Kelly on May 29 , 1890 . Her husband died March 11, 1915.
She departed this life March 13, 1934 at the age of 63 years 1 month and 12 days. She laid down for a nap and never woke up.
She leaves to mourn her loss two sons , Ellis and Loy Kelly of Roy, Mo and five brothers. Joe Hermstein White City, Kansas, Gus Hermstein of Council Grove, Kansas, Fred Hermstein Council Grove, Kansas , and Frank Hermstein who has departed this life, and two sisters who are both dead.
