Mrs. Helen A. Thornton, 60, of Albany, passed away, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Willson Hospice House.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with internment following in Floral Memory Gardens. Father Stephen Pontzer will officiate. The family will receive friends this evening Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thornton was born March 22, 1952 in Denver, CO. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family and she truly made home feel like home. Helen loved gardening and all animals and was an avid “Elvis” fan. Mrs. Thornton will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Thornton Sr.; her sons, Wayne Moore and wife Jungwon of Seoul, S. Korea, Bobby Thornton and wife Amanda of Albany, Kenneth Thornton Jr. and girlfriend Missy of Leesburg; her daughters, Nancy Dodson of Fayetteville, NC, and Anna Myers and husband Charles of Wren, GA; her parents Herman and Lynn Adams of Albany; her brother Kevin Adams and wife Lori of Leesburg; her sisters Gail Clarke and husband David, Kathy Childre and husband Roger, and Suzette Adams Peek all of Albany; thirteen grandchildren, Jessica, Kenaniah, Jeremiah, and Rebekah Dodson, Ellen Han-Moore, Angel Thornton, Ashlee, Haylee, and Logan Rutherford, Jazmine Thornton, Nate Thornton, Bobby Thornton Jr., and Robby Thornton.
