Mrs. Lucy Pauline Bottorff, 85, a resident of the Loraine, Ill. community for more than 50 years, died at 5:25 p.m., Thursday (May 13, 1976) in Blessing Hospital where she was admitted earlier in the day.
She was born in Lima Township on Jan. 27, 1891, a daughter of Richard W. and Cynthia Miller Tout. She attended Ursa School.
She married Clarence Bottorff on Feb. 14, 1917, in Marcelline. He died March 12, 1965.
Surviving are a son, Gilbert L. of near Loraine; two brothers, Cecil Tout of Loraine and Gail Tout of Davenport, Iowa; two grandchildren, Mrs. Carroll (Loretta) Ensminger of rural Mendon, Ill., and Lowell Bottorff of Loraine; and three great-grandchildren, Mrs. Milo (Christien) Simpson of Loraine, Josie Ensminger of rural Mendon, and Brett Bottorff of Loraine.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Lucille (age 15 yrs.), 3 brothers, John, Richard and George Tout and an infant sister.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Curry Funeral Home. Rev. Wm. J. Brown was officiating minister. Mrs. Glenn Muegge was organist. Internment was in New Providence Cemetery at Ursa. Pallbearers were Fred Pittman, Floyd Strickler, Carl Pittman, Bob Mittermeyer, Sherman Bragg and Homer Plank.
