Mrs. Herron Taken By Death
Mrs. Havilla Catherine Herron, 85, died at 8:45 a. m. February 4 at the home of her son, Guy Herron, in Mangum after a long illness.
Services were at 3 p. m. February 6 in the Wildcat cemetery with Rev. Bert Winters of Wildcat and Rev. W. L. Jordan of Mangum officiating.
Mrs. Herron was born January 14, 1858 in White Plains, Ga. She came to Ada, Okla., in 1891 and Greer county in 1907. Since 1921, she had been a city resident. Her husband succumbed in 1926.
Survivors include three sons, Guy, Ab, and Arthur, all of Mangum, and Ernest, Oklahoma City; a brother, Eugene Grant, Ft. Worth, Texas.
