George Nelson, 89, of Caldwell, died on Friday, December 25, 2015 at a local care center.
George William Nelson
George William Nelson passed away peacefully in his home the morning of December 25th, 2015.
He was born to Oldrick and Arta Nelson on August 3rd, 1926 in Meridian, Idaho. In September of 1950 he married his sweetheart Viola and they were married for 57 years. George and Viola have three sons Ron (Lisa), Roger, and Rocky (Lesley) and raised them in their home in Meridian Idaho. George served in WW2 in the Navy on the South Pacific and retired from Zamzows. After retiring George and Vi traveled in their motorhome across the United States and Canada. George was a devoted husband and proud Father and Grandfather and spoke of his family often and most of all of his beloved Vi.
George is survived by his three sons Ron (Lisa), Roger, and Rocky (Lesley) Nelson and numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2:00pm at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens, where Military Honors will be rendered.
