Lucious was the son of Lucious Ambler Sr and Eunice Releford Ambler. He was educated in the Houston County School System and was a 1968 graduate of Houston Training High School in Perry, Georgia. He later graduated from Macon Technical College in Macon, Georgia where he studied electronics. He was also a member of the Upward Bound Program of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He was employed on Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia for 30 years as an Electronic Engineer. He was an avid sports fan. He attended Mt Nebo Primitive Baptist Church in Perry, Georgia.

1 Like A Sister: Angelia Ambler.
1 Like A Brother: James Ambler(Aquilla).
