Olla Faye Adcock, age 84, of Strong City, KS died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Chase County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls. The daughter of Fred Charles and Emma Caroline (Burnside) Clark, Olla Faye was born May 27, 1933 at Hilltop, KS. She and Donald Adcock were married August 4, 1951 in Texarkana, TX and to this union were born three sons: Marvin, Gary, and Kevin. They later divorced and he preceded her in death February 22, 2005.
Olla Faye was a member of the Baptist church. She was a homemaker and loved having her family around her. She was a great cook and her house was the place to be for playing and eating. There were several other mothers in the west end of Strong City and after they got the children to school would take time to have coffee with a side of gossip.
She is survived by three sons: Marvin (Vicki) Adcock of Strong City, Gary (Cheryl) Adcock of Americus, and Kevin (Debbie) Adcock of Moriarty, NM; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Frank, Harold, James, and Raymond Clark; and three sisters: Viola Divelbiss, Roberta Clark, and Helen Clark.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held Thursday, at 1:00 PM at the Strong Township Cemetery in Strong City. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Chase County Care and Rehabilitation Center or to the Chase County Senior Center may be sent in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, PO Box 220, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
